There is evidence that we may not be serious about fighting terrorism. Too many seem reticent about addressing the outrageous claims of radical Islam for fear of offending people. Well, I'm offended when they murder my fellow citizens. People had better familiarize themselves with the Koran. You can find a copy online if you don't want to buy it. "Know your enemy" has never been more important.
Second, why can fertilizer like the kind bought by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols to blow up the federal building in Oklahoma City still be easy to buy? Ammonium nitrate is sold by thousands of farm-supply stores. The federal government doesn't regulate who can sell it, or require any identification or background checks of buyers. Why?
What other illegal and dangerous substances can be had, either legally or illegally, and what is being done to make them more difficult or impossible to get?
No one else is going to defend us, so we had better be about doing what is necessary to better protect ourselves.
