Two church leaders in Kenya were attacked Thursday morning by unknown gunmen in the city of Garissa. Pastor Abdi Welli was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital and Pastor Ibrahim Makunyi was immediately rushed to a hospital, where his condition was described as stable and out of danger.

Islamic extremists from Somalia's rebel al Shabaab militants killed a Christian in Somalia's coastal city of Barawa on Nov. 16, accusing him of being a spy and leaving Islam.
